By creating an account, subscribing to our service, or using the Prompt Optimizer platform (including our Cloud Edition, MCP Server, web interface, or NPM packages), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

These terms apply to all users of our prompt optimization ecosystem, including Cloud Edition subscribers, Local Edition users, API consumers, and MCP client integrations.

Prompt Optimizer is a comprehensive AI prompt engineering platform consisting of two core products:

• Compatible with 17+ MCP clients including Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf

• Complete data privacy with no cloud transmission

• One-time purchase model with perpetual license

Both editions share the same sophisticated optimization engine but differ in deployment model and collaboration features.

Billing Terms:

• Refunds provided in accordance with refund policy

Promo Code System:

• We may offer promotional codes for special events (e.g., Product Hunt launches)

• Promo codes provide time-limited tier upgrades or enhanced features

• Each promo has specific terms including duration, redemption limits, and benefits

• Only one promo code active per user at a time

Redemption Terms:

• Promo codes redeemed through Settings page on dashboard

• Duplicate redemptions of same code not permitted

• Promo benefits expire automatically after specified duration (e.g., 48 hours)

• Upon expiration, account reverts to original subscription tier seamlessly

• No manual action required for expiration or reversion

Cloud Edition API:

• API keys generated through dashboard (format: sk-opt-*)

• Keys must be kept secure and confidential

• Creator plan: 1 API key, Innovator plan: up to 10 API keys

• RESTful API for programmatic access

• Real-time streaming optimization endpoints

• Template management and search APIs

MCP Server Integration:

• Universal Model Context Protocol (MCP) compatibility

• Works with Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, and 17+ MCP clients

• Configuration via JSON files or MCP Inspector

• Local Edition: No API keys required (runs locally)

Rate Limiting:

• We do not claim ownership of your prompts or optimization results

Platform Intellectual Property:

• Prompt Optimizer software, algorithms, and code are proprietary

• NPM packages protected by commercial license

• Optimization techniques and rule systems are trade secrets

• Reverse engineering or algorithm extraction prohibited

License Grants:

• Cloud Edition: Limited, non-exclusive license to process prompts for optimization

• Local Edition: Perpetual license to use software on licensed machines

• NPM packages: Licensed per subscription or purchase terms

Data Usage for Service Improvement:

• Cloud Edition: Template data may be used in anonymized, aggregated form for service improvement

• Local Edition: No data collection, transmission, or usage - 100% private and offline

Cloud Edition Data Handling:

• All prompts processed in secure cloud infrastructure

• Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256)

• Templates stored in Supabase with Row Level Security (RLS)

• API keys encrypted using industry-standard hashing

• Optional OpenRouter integration for AI-powered optimization

• User data isolated with role-based access controls

Local Edition Privacy:

We recognize that data sovereignty is a critical requirement for organizations operating under GDPR (European Union), DPDP Act (India), LGPD (Brazil), and other international data protection regulations. Our platform offers multiple deployment options to ensure compliance with local data residency and cross-border transfer restrictions.

Cloud Edition - Geographic Considerations:

• GDPR, DPDP Act, and LGPD consent requirements do not apply to purely local processing

Your Consent Controls:

You have granular control over consent through your account dashboard:

You may not use our service to:

• Generate, optimize, or process illegal, harmful, or rights-violating content

• Reverse engineer, modify, or extract our optimization algorithms

• Share, redistribute, or resell access to unauthorized third parties

• Abuse quotas, circumvent security, or overload infrastructure

• Create competing prompt optimization platforms

• Distribute modified versions of our software

• Use automated tools to generate excessive requests beyond normal usage

• Violate third-party AI provider terms (when using OpenRouter integration)

Uptime and Reliability:

• Cloud Edition: 99.9% uptime target

• Scheduled maintenance announced in advance

• Service status page available

• Local Edition: Availability depends on your local environment

Support Tiers:

• Explorer: Community forum and documentation

• Creator: Priority email (24-48 hour response)

• Innovator: Dedicated support (12-24 hour response)

Technical Support Includes:

Voluntary Termination:

Liability Limitations:
